A missed appointment costs a solo stylist or small studio real money: an empty chair for the slot nobody filled, twice over once you count the client who never confirmed. Most booking tools handle the calendar but not the money, which leaves the no-show risk sitting entirely with the studio until a client decides to show up.
The problem
Booking a slot and paying for it are usually two different systems, if the second one exists at all. Studios end up chasing confirmations by text, absorbing no-shows as a cost of doing business, and hoping a friendly reminder is enough to change that.
What we built
Chairtime is a public booking page where clients pick a service, a stylist, and an open slot, then pay a deposit through Stripe before they close the tab. The studio keeps that deposit whether or not the client shows, and Chairtime sends the reminder email and text automatically so nobody on the team has to remember to.
The result
The chair either gets filled or the no-show gets paid for, and the studio finds out about neither one from a phone call. It's live at chairtime.titung.com if you want to see a real booking flow end to end.
